An essay which covers 100 years and is subject to historical interpretation. The topic will centre around changes in the lives of women. |

A-level students must take assessments in all three of the following components:
- Component 1: Breadth study (USA)
- Component 2: Depth study (Britain)
- Component 3: Historical investigation (Personal study).
Students must:
- study the history of more than one country
- study a British history option for Component 1 or 2
- study a non-British history option for Component 1 or 2
- study topics from a chronological range of at least 200 years.
Assessment Objectives in A Level History:
AO1: Demonstrate, organise and communicate knowledge and understanding to analyse and evaluate the key features related to the periods studied, making substantiated judgements and exploring concepts, as relevant, of cause, consequence, change, continuity, similarity, difference and significance.
(These concepts will inform the setting of questions.)
AO2: Analyse and evaluate appropriate source material, primary and/or contemporary to the period, within its historical context. DEPTH
STUDY and HISTORICAL INVESTIGATION
AO3: Analyse and evaluate, in relation to the historical context, different ways in which aspects of the past have been interpreted.
