Our Year 12 Physicists attended a masterclass on Particle Physics at the University of Birmingham on International Women's Day. They got to learn about some of the latest developments in particle physics through talks and Q&A sessions with the university's academic staff, as well as gaining some hands on experience in some of the techniques used by researchers for analysis and investigation. They ended the day with a video conferencing session with the researchers at CERN in Switzerland about how they apply their research of particle physics.
