Raising Standards Leader
The Governing Body of St Paul’s School for Girls is seeking to appoint are seeking an exceptional KS5 Raising Standards Leader to join our ambitious and supportive team. This is a role for an experienced practitioner with a proven track record of driving high outcomes, supporting student progression, and shaping an aspirational culture at Post‑16.
“St Paul's is an outstanding Catholic comprehensive school for girls aged 11-19” (Ofsted 2017), is 3rd in The Times Top 10 Comprehensives, and best comprehensive school in the Midlands (2026). We have consistently excellent outcomes with internal GCSE P8 of +1.16 (2025) and A*-A 30%, A*-B 70%, A*-C 95%, A*-E 100% (2025).
About the Role:
The KS5 Raising Standards Leader will play a pivotal role in ensuring high-quality teaching, outstanding progress, and excellent destinations for all sixth form students. You will work closely with curriculum leaders, pastoral teams, and the Senior Leadership Team to:
- Lead on monitoring, tracking, and improving KS5 academic performance
- Implement strategies to raise attainment and progress across all subjects
- Analyse data to identify trends, gaps, and intervention priorities
- Oversee targeted support and intervention for students at risk of underachievement
- Champion high expectations around attendance, engagement, and work ethic
- Develop and promote an aspirational culture that drives strong destinations
- Support tutors and teachers with assessment, feedback, and effective KS5 pedagogy
- Contribute to the strategic direction and growth of the sixth form
About You:

Experience with sixth form teaching and results improvement is essential; experience in leadership or raising standards roles is highly desirable.
