Psychology

The mind is something intangible that exists within our brain; an unseen process of neurochemicals and electric currents. So why is it that some people suffer from stress or mental illness? Or that others are considered abnormal for going against social norms? Psychology looks at questions such as these and more.

Psychology is the scientific study of behaviour and mental processes in individuals, based on research and experiments. It’s a fascinating science with cutting-edge theories that have extensive real-world applications.

Psychology explores how we understand and interact with the world. The course covers a vast range of areas, behaviours and mental processes, with students learning a variety of skills including analytical thinking, improved verbal and written communication, problem solving and many more.

As Psychology students, we encourage you to be curious, to research, analyse, critique, and to view humans and the world in different ways. If you want to learn about yourself, the world and other people, then Psychology may be the course for you.
